Terms of Service

Cashtra is provided by Jomari M. Batoctoy, an independent application developer. By downloading, accessing, or using Cashtra, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge Cashtra's Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Purpose of Cashtra

Cashtra is a personal finance tracking and budgeting tool. It can help you record accounts, balances, transactions, budgets, goals, debts, recurring activity, and financial summaries. Cashtra is not a bank, lender, payment processor, accountant, investment adviser, tax adviser, or financial institution.

Financial Information and Estimates

Balances, budgets, goal projections, interest accrual, withholding tax, currency conversions, debt projections, reminders, and automated insights depend on information you provide and assumptions used by the app. They may be incomplete, delayed, rounded, or inaccurate and are not professional financial, accounting, legal, investment, or tax advice.

Cashtra does not determine the legally correct withholding-tax rate, contractual bank rate, compounding method, or amount your bank will actually credit. Verify important information against official records and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for accurate entries, reviewing calculations, protecting your device, maintaining backups, confirming deadlines and obligations, and making your own financial decisions. Do not rely exclusively on Cashtra for tax filing, legal compliance, investments, loan obligations, payment deadlines, or emergency decisions.

Local Data and Backups

Cashtra primarily stores your records locally on your device. Widget summaries may use Cashtra's local app-group container. When you export or back up data, you control where the resulting files are stored or shared and are responsible for protecting them. Device loss, app deletion, device resets, or missing backups may cause permanent data loss.

Permissions and Third-Party Services

Optional features may use notifications, device authentication, photos, files, microphone, speech recognition, Apple services, or exchange-rate providers. Third-party availability, security, and accuracy are not guaranteed and may be governed by separate terms.

Acceptable Use

You must not use Cashtra unlawfully, interfere with its operation or security, introduce harmful content, circumvent restrictions, infringe another person's rights, or copy, distribute, resell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer Cashtra except where applicable law expressly permits it.

License and Ownership

Cashtra is licensed, not sold. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Cashtra on Apple-branded devices you own or control as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules. Cashtra's software, design, branding, documentation, and original content remain the property of Jomari M. Batoctoy or their respective licensors.

Updates and Availability

Cashtra may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued for product, compatibility, security, legal, or operational reasons. No feature is guaranteed to remain available or function on every device or operating-system version.

Warranty Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cashtra is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, or protection from every error or data loss. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jomari M. Batoctoy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from financial decisions, inaccurate entries, estimates, missed obligations, data loss, unauthorized device access, third-party services, interruptions, or errors. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded is limited only as permitted by applicable law.

Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and Jomari M. Batoctoy, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to maintain or support Cashtra. Apple and its subsidiaries are intended third-party beneficiaries of applicable Apple-related provisions. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Governing Law and Changes

Subject to mandatory consumer protections where you reside, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Material updates may require renewed acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
